Are Password Managers Safe to Store Sensitive Passwords? Which One Is the Best?

With data breaches, phishing attacks, and account takeovers becoming more common, many people are now using password managers to store their login details.

But there’s still a lot of confusion around them, especially when it comes to sensitive accounts like banking, email, and work credentials.

Some questions worth discussing:

  • Are password managers actually safer than saving passwords in browsers or remembering them?

  • Can password manager data be leaked or hacked?

  • Is it safe to store bank and financial passwords in a password manager?

  • How secure is Google Password Manager compared to dedicated tools?

  • Which password manager do you personally trust the most — free or paid?

From a cybersecurity point of view, password managers claim to use strong encryption and zero-knowledge architecture, but real-world incidents and user mistakes still raise concerns.

I recently looked into this topic in detail from a security and risk perspective and shared a broader analysis here (optional read):

Would love to hear from the community:

  • Do you use a password manager today?

  • Would you trust it with banking credentials?

  • Which password manager do you think is the most secure and why?

Let’s hear real experiences and opinions 👇

I’m currently using the free version of Zoho Vault Password Manager. It allows me to generate strong passwords, and I only need to remember the master password.

As far as I understand, the passwords are stored in encrypted form. Beyond that, I’m not completely sure about the internal security mechanisms. That said, cyber-attacks can happen anywhere, so no solution is 100% risk-free.
