WHAT IS HSDPA AND HSUPA ??

Tags: HSDPA|HSUPA|Specifications of HSDPA|What is HSDPA and HSUPA

These two technical terms are related to Telecom world. you might be aware with these terms and want to know more about it.

HSDPA stands for High speed downlink Packet access and HSUPA stands for High speed Uplink packet access

HSDPA and HSUPA is part of HSPA(High speed packet access) technology, which is further upgradation to WCDMA network.WCDMA is referred as 3G(3rd generation ) Networks and HSPA is referred as 3.5G. so HSPA allows high data transmission for internet connectivity.

hsdpa and hsupaHSDPA is a improved technology which increase your download and helps you in fast browsing and watching online videos.

HSUPA is improved technology which increase your upload and helps you to share your videos and picture easily.

Here is brief discussion:

HSDPA(High speed downlink packet access):

The first step required to upgrade WCDMA to HSPA is to improve downlink by introducing HSDPA.In most of the countries HSDPA provides improved downlink speed of 14.4 Mbit/s. But now with more upgraded technology data transmission speed reached up to 21.6 mbit/s, even more 28.8 Mbit/s in some nation.
HSDPA is based on a shared channel transmission and its key feature are shared channel and multi code transmission , higher modulation, short transmission time interval  and fast link adaption.

HSUPA(High speed uplink packet access)

The second major step to upgrade WCDAM to HSPA is to increase uplink by introducing HSUPA. It is the common practice by most of the mobile networks to deploy HSDPA first before doing HSUPA. Because we generally need high download speed, to experience fast browsing and online videos.
In most of the countries HSUPA provide improved uplink speed up to 5.8 Mbit/s.
Enhanced uplinks adds a new transport channel to WCDMA, called the enhanced dedicated channel(E-DCH).Upgrading to HSUPA is usually only a software update.

Tags: Increase Torrent downloading speed|Set torrent bandwidth|Torrent downloading|Upload bandwidth control

By optimize some general setting of torrent,we can increase the downloading speed up to 20%. Also  we can reduce the data usage by slowing down uploading speed, which is not of our use.
very helpful for the guys, who don't have unlimited plans. Here are some simple steps need to follow:

  • open your torrent client, check options and click on preferences

utorrent setup1

  • Now click on Bandwidth and set global upload limit to 1, if you set it to 0 then torrent will get maximum speed of uploading, which is of  no need, after setting it 1, press ok.

utorrent setup2

  • you have to perform 3rd step every time when you starts download, make a right click to your downloading  movie, check option bandwidth allocation and make it High.

utorrent setup3

  • Next step is to set download limit, make it unlimited that torrent will get maximum speed available.

utorrent setup4

  • Then next step is to set upload limit, you have to make it 1 kbps, uploading speed will slow down and unnecessary data usage will be saved.

utorrent setup5

And you are done now, you can enjoy speedy download and save unnecessary data usage
