Is There Any Free Tool to Check If Our Personal Data Is Leaked Online?

Is there any free tool available that can tell us whether our personal information is exposed online without our knowledge?

Earlier, Google’s data leak monitoring feature used to notify users if details like name, email address, or mobile number appeared online, and it even showed which website the data was leaked from. However, this feature now seems limited or unavailable for many users.

So I wanted to ask the community:

  • Are there any reliable free tools that can help track personal data exposure?

  • Do they show what information was leaked and the source of the breach?

Would love to hear suggestions or real-world experiences from members.

Hi,

I used Have I Been Pwned to check my email address, and it showed that my personal information was exposed in one data breach.

The breach was linked to Railyatri.com, where details such as my name, phone number, password, and date of birth were compromised.

This was quite concerning and highlights how useful tools like Have I Been Pwned can be for checking hidden data breaches.

Even if you discover that your personal data has been leaked, getting it removed from the internet can be extremely difficult. To stay safer, it’s important to regularly change your email passwords and, most importantly, enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) wherever possible. MFA adds an extra layer of protection even if your password is compromised.
