Manual GPRS Setting Of Nokia Lumia-Window Phone

GPRS setting of Nokia's Window phones are different from Nokia's Symbian phones. If you are using Nokia Lumia and not able to access internet, then you can manually configure your mobile for internet access. Though mobiles get automatically configured when you insert a sim in your mobile, but in case you are facing some problem , then you can follow the given steps. 

Open Settings
Under the Tab System
Select option- Access Point

Here you can see, if your mobile operator APN is available or not, if your mobile operator name exist ,you can select and activate it for internet access.

If your mobile operator settings are not there or you are facing some problem then you should follow further steps. Here for example i am taking Airtel Settings for Nokia Lumia

Click on    + sign  at bottom 

Here you will see some options-

Name:  Airtel (Write your mobile operator name (or any name) )

Internet APN: airtelgprs.com  (Access point name of your mobile operator) , if you are using other mobile operator in India, then find APN address of other mobile operators click here

Username:  leave blank

Password: leave blank

other options like proxy, proxy port : Don't change

Authentication type: None

Now click on OK (tick mark sign)   and now select the Airtel (or the name given by you ) and activate.

How To Access Internet On Laptop Using Samsung Android Smartphones ??

Do you want to access internet on your desktop or laptop using Samsung android smartphone, then yes you can connect your android mobile to access internet.

There are two ways two connect your mobile to your laptop. One is Wi-Fi Hotspot and other USB tethering

Please follow the given simple steps to use your mobile as a modem

Connect Internet using Wi-Fi Hotspot:

Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot of your mobile from Notification bar

Or

Go to Setting

Select More Networks

Tethering and portable hotspots

Portable Wi-Fi hotspot – Turn on this option

Your Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot will become active, and you will be able to find Wi-Fi signal in your laptop. It will show you as AndroidAP

Now if you try to connect to this network, it will ask for security password.

For password select Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot option and you will find instruction and Password to access internet using your Samsung mobile.

Connect Internet using USB tethering:

Connect your Samsung mobile with Laptop using USB

Go to Setting

Select More Networks

USB tethering – Turn on this option

As soon as you turn on this option your mobile start working as modem and get connected to laptop for internet access. You can see the status on your network connectivity icon. It will show internet access

Note: When you connect your mobile via USB for internet access, it requires one driver to run the internet.

If your mobile doesn't work as a modem, please follow the given steps:

Open device manager from control panel in your laptop (Please keep the mobile connected and USB tethering should be on)

Check SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device in Network Adapters, If it is not there then it should be in Other Devices with yellow error sign.

Then Right click on SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device and update driver (Please note for this you need active internet connection) otherwise you can download this driver by searching on Google.

On successful installation of this driver, you will be able to access internet any time, when you turn on USB tethering.

Hi friends, are you not able to access internet on your Motorola mobile or facing problem with GPRS setting. Don’t worry here is manual GPRS setting for your Motorola mobile, Though it is always better to call customer care and ask them to send automatic GPRS setting to your mobile, but if you are facing problem in saving setting , then you can follow given steps:

 Here steps are given for BSNL India, if you are using other network internet, only APN address will be changed, other settings and procedure will remain same. Follow options step by step - 

Open menu
Go to settings
Wireless & Networking

Mobile Network Settings

Access point Name

Select options (touch on left hand side icon)

Select New APN

Name : BSNL (or any name or your network name)

Manual GPRS Setting Of Samsung Mobile

Hi Friends , Are you not able to run internet on your Samsung  mobile.There might be problem with your Internet connection setting, You are required to configure your Samsung mobile. 

Though it is always better to call your telecom operator and ask for automatic setting , but if you are not able to save GPRS setting , then you can manually configure your mobile to run internet.

Here is step wise step procedure to manually setup your mobile. Here is setting for Reliance, if you are using other mobile operator, then you need to change only Access Name (APN) , other setting will remain same
Follow the given procedure : 

Open Menu
Go to Setting
Network
Connections
A message will display - Select Yes

At this step you might get your network setting already, If this is the case you don't need to create new one, but you have to set up your application setting. For eg. If you want to run Opera, Go to Opera
Select Option - more
Connections
Select you network Setting 

But still if you are not able to enjoy Internet, Then after the previous step (Selecting the option - Yes) , Next step is

Create
Set Name - Reliance

Select Account Name - Select Profile (Any - profile 1 or profile 2 ....)
Edit Profile
Rename Profile - Airtel (Or Any)

Data Account - Select Airtel (Or the Name you have given in Data acoount setting)
Connection type : HTTP
Username : Left Blank
Password : Left Blank

Now Activate your profile and Go back to WAP in Services Option
Select Homepage

Guys , if you are using internet on your mobile. you can use your mobile as a modem and connect internet on your PC or laptop as well.
All you need to have some accessories with you to connect your mobile to PC or laptop.

Accessories you Need to connect are:

• Data cable or Bluetooth device
• PC suite software of particular mobile brand

you can connect your mobile to PC by Using data cable or Bluetooth.but if you use data cable then data transfer speed will be fast and you can experience fast internet connectivity.

Second important thing, you must have PC suite software. This is the software which help you to connect with internet on your laptop


Every mobile brand have their own PC suite software. For Nokia, you can use Nokia PC suite or Nokia ovi suite, which you can download from here
you need to select your mobile model, then you can download PC suite software.


same for all mobile brand, you can download PC suite software from their supporting website.


After installing a software you will find a option 'connect to internet', select that option, there you find list of mobile operator in your country. select your operator and hit connect. you will be connected to internet on your PC or laptop.


If you don't find your mobile operator or choosing your mobile operator doesn't work for you , then you can manually set you mobile operator. you have to submit manual setting. enter Access point name(APN) of your service provider and save the setting. then click on connect. you will be connected to internet.


Here is procedure to connect your Nokia mobile to your PC using Nokia ovi suite


After installing Nokia ovi suite, you have to create account and log in.


connect your mobile to PC using data cable or Bluetooth.


On upper side bar you will find a option Tool


click on Tools, you will find a option " Options"


click on Options, there you having " connect to Internet"


click on "connect to internet", there you having two options ' Use this Network operator' where you can select your country and mobile operator. and save the setting.


if you don't find your mobile operator then you can use "Use manual setting" there you only need to fill Access point Name(APN) of your service provider. and save the setting


Now click on Tools again and choose a option "connect to internet" and you will be connected to internet.
